Philippines NGO highlights heavy metals in counterfeit products

Philippines environmental group the EcoWaste Coalition has urged authorities to take action on inexpensive counterfeit toys that are becoming increasingly common on the Philippines market. This follows tests by the group on 17 toy products marked with the image of 'Angry birds', of which 14 contained heavy metals such as antimony, arsenic, cadmium, chromium and lead up to 170 times the regulatory limit.
