China begins inspections of imported hazardous chemicals

China has begun compulsory inspections of over 160 hazardous chemical substances that are exported to the country, its entry-exit inspection and quarantine administrations (CIQ) has announced.

The inspections of both the substances and their packaging began on 1 February 2012, said the CIQ.
