| Details | An excellent opportunity to join an established and reputable chemicals policy and chemical risk management consultancy. You will work on cutting edge REACH projects for industry and regulatory clients including trade associations, ECHA and the European Commission. Projects will include REACH authorisation dossiers, REACH restrictions dossiers, SVHC proposals, assessments of alternatives to chemical substances and assessment of socio-economic impacts of regulatory proposals/actions.An outstanding career development opportunity. Dependant on your level of experience the role will involve taking part in or managing REACH related regulatory projects. Typical tasks will include project planning, managing junior staff, data acquisition, data analysis, liaising with clients and stakeholders, attending meetings, making presentations and preparing high quality reports. You will be working on cutting edge projects including REACH authorisation dossier applications, responses to / developments of REACH restrictions dossiers, development and analysis of SVHC proposals, assessments of alternatives to chemical substances, and assessment of socio-economic impacts of regulatory proposals. Suitable candidates are likely to be graduates / higher graduates in a scientific field and have at least 3 years experience of REACH within a chemicals business or a trade association. You must have a good understanding of the REACH regulations and its impact on the chemicals industry. You must have proven research skills, strong attention to detail, excellent written and spoken communication skills and, the ability to write high quality reports and dossiers.
